Gary Rushgrove - PGA Qualified Golf Professional

Gary hails from Herefordshire England where he had a successful amateur playing career winning numerous events within the county and represented Shropshire & Herefordshire County Team during 2000-2003. His amateur highlight came in 2001 when he became Men's County Champion at the age of 19.

Gary still holds the course record at his first club Leominster in Herefordshire with a score of 66 in 1998 as a junior.

Gary turned professional in 2003 at the age of 21 and graduated in 2007 with a degree in the P.G.A programme. During his training he worked at Chestfield golf club in Kent, where he set up junior coaching clinics and re-established the junior section into a growing junior base. He then spent a little time in America before moving to Ireland and furthered his career at Limerick County Golf Academy where he became their academy`s official Ping and Titleist fitter. With 6 years experience in coaching & custom fitting his coaching abilities have been of positive results, which drew attention of Nike Golf and Provision Golf where he coached at the Irish Open and across the Munster Region.

Gary has coached players of different abilities and currently is working with golfers at all levels of the game including professionals, national standard, Provincial players through to the beginner and hopes to continue to excel his portfolio by setting up his own methods here at Athlone Golf Academy.
